Well Wishes My Love, Your Love

Well Wishes My Love, Your Love is a non-verbal, coming-of-age short film created by animation filmmaker Gabriel Gabriel Garble. Through the journey of a recently orphaned boy and his friend’s prosthetic arm, the film transports us into a dreamlike universe close to a video game. The boundaries between the virtual and lived reality blur, and each landscape is presented as a reproduction of the world—a naturalistic painting saturated in colors and distorted by the ripples moving around the main character.

This meditative and introspective film explores the profound significance of everyday gestures of love, expressed through universal body language. Through this journey, the film questions our sense of touch, where reality and fiction intertwine before we emerge and return to the world that sharpens our senses in everyday life.

Gabriel Gabriel Garble is an animation filmmaker who expresses the inseparability of human-nonhuman relations through their work. Using a combination of 2D and 3D techniques, Gabriel’s films invite the viewer to dive into a dreamlike state of contemplation and live alongside the animism within each frame. Their works have attracted the attention of prominent entities such as Adult Swim, The New York Times, and BBC.
