Blind Vaysha

Blind Vaysha, directed by Theodore Ushev, is based on a story by Georgi Gospodinov, a prominent Bulgarian author. The film beautifully blends expressive visuals with humor, narrated by Caroline Dhavernas. It tells a metaphorical story about the challenges of living in the present, using symbolic imagery, European landscapes, and Benedictine architecture.

Theodore Ushev was born in Kyustendil, Bulgaria and graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia. He first made a name for himself as a poster artist. His latest project, Blind Vaysha, is a philosophical tale about the importance of living in the moment.
